Our Music Theory AP class and TRI-M Music Honor Society had stops at the NY Philharmonic Rehearsal, NY Performing Arts Library and the Flute Center of NY!
Lakeland fielded a team for the online Girls Go CyberStart competition. Six students competed against hundreds of teams from across the nation and against 42 NJ teams. Lakeland and 12 other NJ teams have advanced to nationals! The team is attending a luncheon where the Director of the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Cell will speak and hand out award certificates! Congratulations to Jack Burke, Angie Catt, Emily Damian, Faith Liu, Faith Scarpati, and Diana Shancey!

LRHS Chorale & Chorale alumni performed a wonderful concert on Memorial Day at Carnegie Hall.
This was the final Carnegie Hall performance for 7 seniors as members of LRHS Chorale.
The final Chorale highlight of the 18-19 school year will be the Germany trip in July!
Reminder to all Juniors:
On 5/30 and 5/31, all Juniors will be taking the NJSLA-Science test. Testing locations are available outside the Career Resource Room as well as on the Class of 2020 bulletin board near the cafeteria. Please bring a calculator and pencil for testing.

Congratulations to Drew Berkenbush for placing 3rd in the HJ at State Sectionals this weekend. Drew had no misses all the way to 6’2”. Drew is ranked 5th next week at the State Group Meet! 🔥🔥🔥
Congratulations to Jesse Campoverde for winning the State Sectional 3200 meter race in a blistering 9.40! Jesse also took second in the mile with an impressive 4.27! Great Job Jesse!!!🥇🥇🥇
Congratulations to Carlos Cuevas for an outstanding 2 days at the State Sectional Track Championships. Carlos took 2nd in the 400 with an insane time of 49.2! Carlos also took 3rd in the 100 and 4th in the 200 for a total of 18 pts! Carlos was honored as one of the meets most impressive runners. 🏃🏽♂️🥇🔥
Congratulations to our weight team on an impressive 2 day performance at State Sectionals. TJ McCormack placing 4th in the disc with a tremendous throw of 140’ and 7th in the Jav with a PR throw of 148’. Taylor Boorse took 3rd in the Jav with a throw of 164’ and Chris McCormack took 5th in the Shot with a throw of 47’8”. Great job boys and onto Groups next week! 💪💪💪
Congratulations to Zach Voll for breaking the 2 minute mark in the 800 meter run yesterday at the State Sectional Championship Zach also anchored our medal winning 4x800 team that was 3 seconds off of the school record & Zach is 1 second off from breaking the school’s 800 meter record of 1.58! 🔥🔥🔥
