What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual Enrollment is a program that allows high school seniors to enroll in college-level courses and attend the course on the college campus while still in high school. High school students are able to get a jump start on college for a reduced tuition! Upon successful completion of the course, students have a college transcript with college credits. Course credits can be applied toward an undergraduate degree at most colleges and universities. All students are responsible for adhering with the rules and regulations of the participating college. Students and parents must understand that enrollment in courses will generate a permanent college transcript
Eligibility
Students of senior status must meet the GPA requirements and testing requirements for each individual college. Juniors interested in this option must review with their school counselor to seek approval.
Students must enroll in at least 2 courses during their senior year. Students can enroll in more courses if interested.
Registration & Cost
Students will be completing an online registration with Lakeland’s Senior Options Coordinator for the student’s choice of dual enrollment college.
