LRHS Community

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

As we navigate another academic year together, I wanted to take a moment to highlight the crucial role that regular school attendance plays in the success and development of our students.

Research consistently shows that daily attendance is directly linked to academic achievement. When students attend school regularly, they have the opportunity to engage with the curriculum, participate in class discussions, and build a strong foundation of knowledge. Regular attendance also allows teachers to provide timely feedback, identify learning gaps, and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs.

Beyond academic benefits, daily attendance fosters a sense of routine and responsibility in our students. It instills habits that will serve them well in the future, whether in higher education or the workforce. By attending school every day, students learn the importance of commitment, punctuality, and the value of consistency.

As parents and caregivers, your support is instrumental in promoting regular attendance. Encouraging a positive attitude towards school, discussing the importance of attendance with your child, and setting a consistent daily routine are all ways to reinforce the significance of being present every day.

We understand that there may be occasions when students are unwell or face unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, please communicate with the school to ensure that missed work is made up and that necessary support is provided.

Let us work together to cultivate a culture of consistent attendance, reinforcing the idea that each school day is a building block for a successful future. If you have any concerns or questions regarding attendance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our school counseling office or your child's teachers.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to your child's education. We look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and success.
